On the weekends, the Washtenaw Area Value Express (W.A.V.E.) stops at the Thornton Farms Clubhouse. For a few dollars, you can ride it to various spots in Chelsea and Dexter such as the Jackson Rd. Meijer where you can transfer to an Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA) bus to take you even further.
